Board of Trustees
Feryle started teaching math and science at Finley, North Dakota in 1964. He taught math at Cleveland Junior High from 1966-1981. Feryle taught math at Johnson High School from 1981 until his retirement in December 1997.
During his teaching career, he was president of the Finley Education Association and led North Dakota's first successful State and National Teachers' sanctions, which was described by the newspaper as the first teachers' strike in North Dakota.
In St. Paul, he served on negotiations, several years on the Teachers Advisory Board, was a building steward, was on the Federation Executive Board several years, the MFT Cope Committee and the SPFTA Cope Committee.
In 1997 Feryle was the recipient of the St. Paul Federation of Teachers' MARY McGOUGH Distinguished Service Award."
In the late 1960's, when he worked for First Investors Corp., he was a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers. He was first elected to the SPTRFA Board of Trustees in 1989. He is also currently on the Lyngblomsten corporate Board of Directors.
In 2002 and 2003, Feryle was elected vice-president. In 2004 and 2005, he was elected as president of the board of trustees.
